Petitti Garden Center Donates Flowers to Nurses
In honor of National Nurses Week, observed May 6-12, Petitti Garden Centers generously donated more than 800 flowers and plants to nurses at UH Ahuja and UH Portage medical center.
“National Nurses Week takes on added significance this year,” said AJ Petitti, President & CEO of Petitti Garden Centers. “We are so appreciative of the unwavering commitment of UH nurses to the community. Nurses are truly heroes and we can’t thank them enough for all that they’ve done and continue to do for us. We hope that our flowers can help brighten their day.”
Although serving different needs of the community, both UH and Petitti Garden Centers have a shared commitment to giving back. University Hospitals has cared for patients for more than 154 years, while Petitti Garden Centers has grown for and given back to Northeast Ohio since 1971. Each fall, Petitti’s hosts in-store fundraising for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, both continue to inspire and care for our community.
University Hospitals is grateful to all individuals and organizations willing to help our caregivers, patients and community during the COVID-19 crisis. Community response and caregiver support funds have been established to support the extensive patient care, medical supplies, research and education needs.
